Windows 7, (formerly codenamed Blackcomb and later Vienna) is the working name for the next major version of Microsoft Windows as the successor to Windows Vista.[3] Microsoft has announced that it is "scoping Windows 7 development to a three-year timeframe", and that "the specific release date will ultimately be determined by meeting the quality bar."[4]
Windows 7 will ship in both client and server versions with the client versions available in both 32-bit and 64-bit editions.[4] The server version of Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2 [5], is 64-bit only.[6]

Grand Theft Auto :: Chinatown Wars

Nintendo and Rockstar have whipped the wrappers of an exclusive Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars game for DS.
It's due out this Christmas and will be set in "a modern day Liberty City", according to Nintendo US sales woman Cammie Dunaway.
Chinatown Wars will also use a custom game engine and have new characters, plus "the same free-ranging gameplay that GTA fans have come to expect".

Google Chrome Browser Tests Embarrising

FIRST tests of Google's "faster, safer" browser have revealed embarrassing glitches which prevent basic web features from loading.

Online speculation suggests that the errors are based on the Javascript foundations of the browser, which can affect everything from pop-up windows to login modules.

The free browser has been made available in a "public trial" version following a premature press release yesterday on the new service, which came in comic book form.

During a presentation to analysts in March 2004, then-Take-Two CEO Jeffrey L. Lapin lamented "poor" sales of Max Payne 2, blaming them for his company's lackluster earnings. He then promptly announced his company's intention to make another installment in the series. IE 8 beta gives other browsers a run for their money

Don't count Internet Explorer out just yet.
On Wednesday, Microsoft released the second public beta for Internet Explorer 8. If anything, this release brings IE up to par with alternative browsers such as Opera, Apple's Safari, and Mozilla's Firefox in terms of security and features. It also pushes Microsoft a little ahead of the competition.
